About Etan

A Son of Brooklyn

I was born and raised right here in Southern Brooklyn, in Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay. I still live in Sheepshead Bay with my young daughter, and this community is my home.

My father is an architect, my mother is a retired public school teacher, and I am one of four children. Those roots taught me the importance of family, hard work, and fairness.

I am a proud graduate of Magen David Yeshivah, where my Jewish faith and values took root — faith that continues to guide my family, my practice, and my commitment to this community every day.

I have a passion for law and our community. I will fight to make sure our courts deliver effective, swift and just outcomes.

Since being admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, I founded Harris Legal PLLC. For over 16 years, I have focused on civil litigation — handling real estate litigation, residential and commercial disputes, and personal injury matters.

I have helped hundreds of clients resolve disputes and achieve justice. Having practiced in this court, I see firsthand how delays hurt families and businesses. As judge, I will provide fair, impartial, and predictable justice for everyone who walks into our courtroom.
